How to recycle swimwear waste

Nowadays, we acknowledge that we face more significant global warming than before. Not only a few areas nor few people, but the whole world are facing the same issues. This issue has become a relatively significant issue that has started negatively impacting nature and all life aspects.

And one industry that causes huge waste is the Fashion industry. This industry supports the most significant waste impact related to global warming itself.

However, we can not stop the fashion industry from growing and not control many start-ups that have been built. With this situation, many companies or fashion brands have started to add three values: Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. This way to recycle swimwear waste.

After 3R, there are two more steps in the waste management process: Recover means restoring all materials that are no longer recycled into energy sources or become eco-friendly.

The last process is the Disposal stage which allocates all the materials that can not be restored or recycled to landfills.

This management concept is called the “Inverted Triangle”. In essence, most waste production is REDUCE from the start; only when it can no longer avoid the goods are REUSE, one of which is the upcycling method or handicrafts.

As clearly mentioned and explained in the vision, that makes all processes eco-friendly, and zero waste is in progress as we know that fabric is residue and can not be recycled, then this 3R meets our Company values.

Principally 3R are sequences of steps to recycle swimwear waste managing.

The top priority is to REDUCE, which is trying as much as possible, then REUSE it to a new product with the value of selling, and the last will be RECYCLE as much as we can.

One of our effort to keep doing this 3R is to reduce the fabric waste becoming patchwork products.

It is how we process it: collect all the large patchwork waste of fabric and cut it into squares or in any small shape pieces. It helps us and makes changing the trash into the product more accessible.

Once we have the small patchwork. We will rejoin it as a large sheet of fabric made of small swatches of fabric waste.

Then, we will change it into a new product, such as a drawstring bag, glass coaster, or other small products that can produce with recycled fabric waste.
