Get to know the types of fabric printing

Are you fed up with a solid-color beachwear line? Do you want to make a beachwear brand with your color and design? . The answer to the two questions above is that you can create your motif and color. Before starting, you need to know some essential information regarding fabric printing your motif.

Swimwear sublimation fabric

Sublimation Printing (suitable for swimwear printing)

Sublimation printing is a popular method to transfer a design from sublimation paper to a piece of fabric or material using pressure and heat.
How does sublimation printing work? Once you have chosen your design, you should print it onto transfer paper using a dye-sublimation printer. The design is then printed onto the fabric using a heat press.
The best materials for sublimation swimwear printing on the list above are polyester. Swimwear fabrics allow you to use multiple designs and emblems, unlike traditional prints, where sometimes, per garment, one logo only can be made.
This technique fits swimwear lines, especially since most fabrics contain polyester or recycled polyester.

Digital Fabric Printing

Digital fabric printing is the printing process for woven materials. It’s like printing photos with an inkjet printer at home.
Simply put, digital printing is an inkjet printer for fabric. The printer feeds a cloth roll through a large format inkjet printer, and the design is print directly onto it.
Digital fabric printing can accurately reproduce excellent lines with solid color consistency.
Unlike sublimation, this technique can’t be applying to polyester material. Due to this reason, it fits beachwear products, such as resort / loungewear, that use woven fabric.
However, this technique will require a vast MOQ, especially regarding your custom color or motif. It will be related to your budgeting.

Synthetics Dying

Synthetic tie-dyeing is a widespread technique. It has few technics. One famous technique is Tie-dying, which involves folding or twisting a fabric or garment to create a particular tie-dye motif.
Unfortunately, like most dyeing methods, synthetic dye is terrible for the environment. It consists of synthetic fiber reactive dyes, non-biodegradable and carcinogenic, posing a threat to humans and the environment. This system we are trying to avoid this in our process.

A more sustainable alternative is to dye fabrics and clothing with natural dyes made from plants and organic materials. Many dye artists worldwide use vegetable dyes to create naturally dyed clothing.

Natural Dying uses different ingredients, shapes, techniques, and colors to create non-toxic, hypoallergenic, highly decorative garments with no hidden embarrassment. Each dye is made from another plant. They are healthy and safe, focusing on quality over quantity. So you can use those three coloring or cresting systems to produce your beachwear brand lines designs according to your cravings.
